Funky Berlin beats from a thrilling producer
Guillaume Coutu-Dumont doesn’t take a page out of anyone’s book. Born in Montreal, but now residing in Berlin, the solo producer’s tracks are a one-of-a-kind blend of house, techno, gospel, and afro-beat. Seems like a pretty erratic mix of genres, right? Well, when you study jazz percussion in Senegal but have a soft spot for techno composition, you’re undoubtedly going to make music unlike anyone else. Dumont’s live shows are a whirlwind of sonic soundscapes that always manage to steer us toward the dance floor. General admission. Over 21s only. Please note that doors open at 10pm with headliners usually taking the stage much later. General admission. Over 21s only.
"Guillaume Coutu-Dumont’s music lends itself to the indigo hue of dusk, imbued with the sultry allure of jazz, the unquestioned groove of house, and the propulsion of techno."
