HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival: Marathon Man
Action movie on the big screen
New York's most popular outdoor film screening series is back with more panache than ever. Entering its 23rd year, Bryant Park has been the premiere destination for film buffs on summer nights. It doesn't get more magical than watching those classic flicks under the stars in the middle of Midtown. In partnership with Bank of America, tonight's screening features John Schlesinger's nail-biting flick Marathon Man. Dustin Hoffman is in electrifying form as Babe Levy, a graduate who gets caught up in a web of intrigue. Stolen Nazi loot and rogue agents are all part of the fun in this seminal '70s film. They don't make action movies like this anymore. "Not sure this deserves to be a classic, but certainly a competently made thriller." - NY Times Rating: R. Runtime: 2 hours 11 minutes.
