Diversity takes center stage in this moving production
Jérôme Bel’s Disabled Theater co-presented with Performa as part of Performa 13 is a heartwarming collaboration with 11 disabled members of Zurich’s Theater Hora. The Swiss theater company is comprised of artists with learning disabilities and Bel’s transgressive piece is a testament to their mission. It lifts the veil of political correctness and allows disability to flourish on stage without shying away from the taboos of mental disability. You’ll leave moved and glad you could witness art at its finest. Best available seating allocated by the venue on arrival.
"...started shocked and disoriented and ended up completely caught up in it and grateful for what it revealed to me about what is often called our common humanity."
