Six decades strong, this soul vixen is still wowing audiences
Mavis Staples kicked off her career at a young age singing alongside her father in their family band, The Staple Singers. In the same vein as Aretha Franklin and Patti LaBelle, the songstress’ rich voice and powerful performances have been lauded for their emotional strength. After her brief hiatus, Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy took charge of production and she’s bigger and better than ever. Joined by The Deadly Gentlemen quintet, this night’s the stuff legends are made of. Reserved seating. Please note that conversation during the show is strongly discouraged. Seating is pre-assigned and family style, but sight lines are clear and sound is excellent. There is a full menu and bar available for extra cost. Seating type is subject to change without notice.
"From small country churches to the stages of the civil rights movement to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Mavis Staples' career has spanned more than 60 years."
