Polyamory, heartbreak + addiction collide in this superb production
Ode to Joy is written and directed by Craig Lucas, yep, the very same Pulitzer Prize finalist behind a stellar body of work that includes Prelude to a Kiss, Two Boys, and The Light in the Piazza. Judging by Lucas’ past work, Ode to Joy won’t be anything short of climactic. It’s a gripping tale that follows one woman’s emotional roller coaster coping with love, heartbreak, addiction, and even illness while juggling two destructive lovers. Sounds like two times the fun…or maybe just two times the drama.
