A female-fronted night of feather-light vocals + raucous drum beats
Apologies to Icona Pop. Our favorite '90s bitch(es) are still Au Revoir Simone. Sure, they formed well into the 2000s, but their influences have the swagger of '90s girl groups: bare bones vocalizing, heavy drum beats, and minimal reliance on the guitar. The gorgeous trio of long-haired beauties just released a brand spanking new album that’s true to their dreamy sound. French pop royalty Lou Doillon will round out the bill and Selebrities and Thomas Azier will open. General admission.
"Brooklyn-based trio Au Revoir Simone's synth-pop is always simple, elegant, and ethereal."
