A hilarious + bizarre musical fantasia
A good rule of thumb for musical theatre? The kookier the better. With existential crises, lighthearted ditties, and wonton thoughts aplenty, Eliza Bent and Dave Malloy’s new play is a winner on all fronts. Two referees adjudicate a cosmic battle as wizards face off in an effort to save humanity from the mundane. Expect a genre-bending score (electronica, classical art song) and our favorite, audience participation. The boldest can score anything from necklaces to doughnuts and cocktails. Say no more. General admission.
"We couldn't help but be enamored by its charm, weirdness and awesomeness."
