Assassins, samurais, swords, battles…everything about this is awesomeTakashi Miike (Audition, Ichi The Killer) is one of the most notorious Japanese directors around. Mixing extreme violence with bizarre concepts and oddball philosophy, his films are an experience unlike anything else. This 2010 samurai epic is set during the end of Japan's feudal era: cue outrageously choreographed sword battle scenes. Sounds good to us.
