Perfectly Normal People
This farm boy is definitely not in Kansas anymore
It’s 1981 and 17-year-old Hadley Smith is fresh out of Kansas and a freshman at NYU. Strapped for a place to live, he finds himself living with an off-the-wall Italian family in Queens. Cue the awkward social interactions. Struggling to adapt to his new life and host family’s hysterical mannerisms proves a challenge for this country mouse. The play’s chalk full of comedic relief and an overall warm coming-of-age story everyone can enjoy. Best available seating allocated by the venue on arrival."Comedic though the characters' interactions often are, the play ultimately evokes nostalgia for a world in which family dinners and face time were more common. The result is a Fringe experience as delicious as one of Mama Normellino’s home-cooked meals."
