Poetry readings come to life in the bordelloYup, the Poetry Brothel is exactly what you think it is. In this world of vice and verse, poets play whores and the intimacy of the boudoir is swapped for that of a poem. Among the speakeasy’s most coveted courtesans? Poet, professor, translator and anthologist, Jerome Rothenberg. The saloon's also got live tunes from Japanese Gypsy rockers Kagero, body painting, fortune tellers, burlesque, and until 9pm, complimentary St. George gin, absinthe, and whiskey. It’s the magic that Montmartre was once made of.
