Ricardo Lemvo has come a long way. Hailing from the Republic of Congo, Lemvo migrated to the United States in the 1980s where he formed Makina Loca. The group's blend of Cuban and African rumba and soukous, Angolan kizomba, samba, and salsa, the group's been dubbed as "seamless, organic, and infectious" by the Los Angeles Times.
