A soul jazz vet + his band cover the funk spectrum
Great funk band or the greatest? That’s what you’ll be asking yourself after one listen of Robert Walter’s 20th Congress. Walters, who first made a name for himself as a solo keyboardist with those frenetic fuzz guitar flourishes we couldn’t get enough of, is back in Brooklyn with his high-energy group in tow. They’ve been at the jazz game for years so you can expect some classics thrown in with the new track list. They’ll be joined by The Electric Sound of Johnny Arrow featuring Cochemea Gastelum. General admission. Over 21s only.
"One of the most incredible places on earth."
