A dazzling revival of Tom Stoppard’s seminal 1966 play
Believe it or not, it’s been a whopping 27 years since Tom Stoppard’s epic play about the two minor characters from Hamlet graced a New York stage. Fear not, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are back in all their Elizabethan glory, thanks to an excellent production crafted by Tony-winning John Rando. Fans of the original can rest easy; Rando’s version is as playful as ever and has enough absurdity and philosophizing to put Samuel Beckett to shame. Let the hijinks commence.
