The wickedly tawdry 1962 film gets an off the grid restagingTheatre doesn’t get more eclectic than on an Off Broadway stage, and Satan In High Heels isn’t about to break with tradition. The 1962 sexploitation classic is given a thespian spin, but the lusty little gem has the original plot details down: Satan, aka sociopathic striptease artist Stacy Kane, cheats, steals, and sleeps her way to the top, which for her is a coveted lounge singing gig. The play’s comic timing is ace and double entendres often upstage everything else. Mark Finley directs.
