A gem of a production from a whip smart dramaturge
It’s pretty safe to say we’re excited to hear The Prizewinner Spurns Her Prize, the latest from Normandy Sherwood, NYU faculty member and award-winning playwright. The story is in the madcap vein of Sherwood’s other works (a machine spews out mice in golden teeth at a Holiday Inn in the first scene) so it’s only fitting that the Bushwick Starr’s Reading Series would play host. Sure to go down in the series’ rich history.
