The House That Screamed

A classic from the golden age of Spanish horror cinema

Director Narciso Ibáñez Serrador cut his teeth working on the wildly popular '60s television horror series, Historias Para No Dormir (stories to keep you awake). Needless to say, he left Spain trembling for more and moved on to his cinematic debut in ’69 with The House That Screamed, a film about wayward French girls going missing and getting killed. This film honestly has it all – beautiful cinematography, psychological trips, and controversial taboos. That’s a triple yes. General admission.
