A transcendent tale of the digital age
Like a page out of a Brooklyn indie-rock fairytale, Jody Christopherson and Michael de Roos met in the fall of 2010 and formed a folky-beatbox-rock band while living in Crown Heights. Two years later, Michael’s visa expired and he moved back to Holland, forcing the duo to collaborate via Skype. They shifted their direction to writing and scoring The Skype Show, a transmedia musical that gained major buzz at The New York International Fringe Festival. Trust us, it’s worth all the hype. Best available seating allocated by the venue on arrival.
"With not much more than a desk and a few scattered props—and highly original music from their band, Greencard Wedding, that blends dubstep beat-boxing with folk guitar and vocals—The Skype Show provides just the kind of experience you hope for."
