Jam out with a seasoned ensemble from the Big Easy
No one does big band brass music like New Orleans. One of the best in the business is The Soul Rebels whose upbeat, danceable NOLA-spiced ditties have been propelling people to the dance floor since 1991. They’re known for instrumental ballads and rowdy numbers of hip-hop inspired beats, so unless you’re a jazz purist, this band’s for you. Also rounding out the bill will be Slick Rick: The Ruler, Prodigy of Mobb Deep, Rahzel, Styles P of The Lox, Kirk Douglas & Mark Kelley of The Roots, and DJ Kaos for a night that’ll be anything but square. General admission. Over 21s only.
"They throw soul, rap, and funk into the brass band mix, resulting in a delightful amalgamation of nasty trumpet and trombone lines and feel good tunes."
