Williamsburg Spelling Bee Finals
A boozy take on the academic ritual of your teen years
In case you didn’t turn the recent Scripps National Spelling Bee into a drinking game (you’d be the only one), consider this your second chance. Founder Bobby Blue and comedian Jennifer Dziura will host a version for adults only at Pete’s Candy Store where contestants routinely tackle words like "rhinencephalon" and "trichotillomania." Don’t worry if you aren’t able to redeem your middle-school self. Even if you make a rookie mistake, booze awaits and striking out has really never felt so good. General admission. Over 21s only. Please note that signup is at 7pm sharp and only the first 15 people get to compete, so arrive early to snag a spot. This event is free and entry is on a first come first served basis, so it can't be guaranteed. We need your card details to store the event information in "My Tickets," but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny.
"A mix of irony seekers and hardcore spelling nerds."
