100 Club: Mighty Mighty + St. Christopher

A night of 80s indie

Showing influences from Postcard Records bands such as Orange Juice; Mighty Mighty came to prominence when featured on the NME's C86 compilation with the song "Law". Around the same time, they released their debut single "Everybody Knows The Monkey". This was soon followed by a 12" single, "Is There Anyone Out There?", before the band signed to Chapter 22 Records, releasing a string of well-received singles and the album "Sharks" in 1988. They split later that year. Singer Hugh once said during an interview that the difference between Mighty Mighty and The Smiths was that "they write two-minute pop songs and we write three-minute pop songs". After bringing the house down when they reformed for the "Scared to Get Happy" album launch in 2013, Mighty Mighty are back for this extremely rare London date. Joining them on the night are Sarah records' St. Christopher. Over 18s only. Valid ID required.
