Punchdrunk is the OG of immersive theatre. After a decade of successful shows across the city, it’s back with an all-new production. Inspired by Greek mythology, ‘The Burnt City’ will transport you to Troy… but not as you would expect. Immerse yourself in this extraordinary world of stylish hedonism, where a story of war, family tragedy, murder and revenge will unfold before your eyes across the three-hour experience. It’s sure to be the event for the ages!

Need to know

  • This is valid for tickets to ‘The Burnt City’ by Punchdrunk. 
  • Only two tickets per customer are allowed for purchase.
  • The age requirement for this performance is 16yrs+. Anyone aged 16 or 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Photo ID will be required on entry.
  • This booking is only valid for your selected date/time option. 
  • Please present your booking confirmation at the box office on arrival.

  • COVID-19: To ensure your safety and that of the performers, audiences are required to bring a face covering with them and wear this for the duration of the performance, unless they are exempt. We recommend KN95 or FFP2 grade masks which are widely available online and in chemists. These will be worn alongside the Punchdrunk mask (the Punchdrunk mask can accommodate the wearing of Covid face coverings).
  • If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or feel unwell please do not attend and contact Punchdrunk's Box Office boxoffice@punchdrunk.com to rearrange your ticket. On proof of a positive test result, tickets can be exchanged up to three hours before the performance. Please note, failure to comply with Covid restrictions could mean you are not permitted to enter the venue.

ARRIVAL

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your booked time slot.
  • Punchdrunk asks that where possible, audiences do not bring bags. Coats and bags are not permitted within the experience and limited cloakroom facilities are available for an extra charge.
  • Cameras and mobile devices are not allowed anywhere except for the bar and will be bagged on arrival. Photography or filming is not permitted.
  • One Cartridge Place is in a residential area and there is no on-street parking. Please use public transport wherever possible and make sure that you arrive and leave quietly.

DURING YOUR VISIT

  • Please note that this is a promenade performance lasting up to three hours and comfortable footwear is recommended (no heels or open-toe shoes).
  • The experience is a personal journey and you may find yourself separated from your group.
  • You are required to wear a Punchdrunk mask throughout the performance, except for in the bar areas. The mask will be provided upon arrival and will fit over most glasses. If you have the option, wearing contact lenses is recommended. This is separate from any medical masks related to Covid (the Punchdrunk mask can accommodate the wearing of Covid face coverings).
  • Punchdrunk reserves the right to refuse entry or remove audience members from the show due to inappropriate behaviour at any time without a refund or readmittance.
  • If you have access requirements, including using a wheelchair, please let Punchdrunk know by emailing access@punchdrunk.com or calling 0208 191 1431. You may need an Access Steward to assist your whole journey.
  • The experience is wheelchair accessible. It takes place across two levels with some areas only accessible to wheelchair users by lift (total maximum weight limit is 400kg). If you use a larger wheelchair some areas of the show will be restricted. Due to the existing architecture, there is a minimum door width of 800mm. There are different types of lifts used in the different buildings (dimensions are 1m deep x 1.2m wide and 1.45m deep x 1m wide)
  • The bar opens after the first hour of the show, serving drinks and light snacks. There will be no other food served on site. The bar will operate a Challenge 25 policy and a contactless payment system. No cash will be accepted on-site and you are advised to bring a physical payment card.

TRIGGER WARNINGS

  • Please be aware that this is a production based on Greek tragedies and deals with themes of war, family tragedy, murder and revenge which some may find triggering. There will be dark spaces, loud noises, strobe, haze, nudity and blood.
