What is it?
Just £35 courses and half a bottle of wine at a super-swanky London restaurant from Albert Roux and Michel Roux Jr.
Why buy?
Few families can lay claim to better culinary pedigree than the one behind this gorgeous Marylebone restaurant. The whole shebang here is overseen by Albert Roux (the first chef in the UK to earn three Michelin stars) and his son, Michel Roux Jr (him off the tele – and holder of two Michelin stars at Le Gavroche). So yeah, it’s hardly a surprise that Palm Court has more than a few ardent foodie fans. The Roux father and son have worked with super-talented head chef Chris King to put together a French-influenced menu that reads deliciously – think lobster bisque with anya potato and lobster chantilly, slow-cooked lamb shoulder with imam bayildi, labneh and a lemon and cumin sauce. And the best bit? They’re inviting you to join them for three courses and half a bottle of wine for just £35. That’s seriously good value for a dining experience like this, people.
