A History Of London In Six Drinks

Servings of each of the six drinks, taxi rides and more – all included!

Explore London by foot and taxi on this four-hour whirlwind tour tracing how six drinks – beer, wine, coffee, hot chocolate, tea and gin – forged modern London, led by historian and broadcaster Dr Matthew Green across the City and West End. During the four-hour tour, you’ll stop for revitalising coffees, sample luxury 18th century-style hot chocolate, drink medieval wine out of coconut shells, take tea in Dr Johnson's townhouse, and much, much more. From the convivial coffeehouses of the 17th century to rowdy Georgian “mug-houses” and the grandiose gin palaces of the Victorian era, this immersive experience will give you a new perspective on the history of London, quenching both your intellectual and literal thirst. Over 18s only. Valid ID required Tour ends at 5:30pm at the Red Lion Gin Palace, York Street. All drinks, taxi rides + admissions charges are included in the ticket price.
