A new dark comedy drama about searching for meaning in a perplexing world
Punctuated with physical theatre, spoken word and live songs, Absence Of Separation tells the story and delves deep in to the minds of the two characters, ready to either redefine themselves or give up on life altogether. The two men form an affinity: delving in to existential philosophy, arguing about the surreal absurdity of life, fighting for their own beliefs, questioning everything, dissecting their dreams, finding infinity in a plastic cup and almost losing their minds.
It takes this mundane and seemingly melancholic place inhabited by characters that society deems “average”: through their imaginings they dare to touch the hem of the robe of infinity with elements of Vedanta Hinduism, Zen Buddhism, spirituality, contemporary society, depression, consciousness, psychology, dreams, addiction and fairytales.
