We will set out to find the funny in money looking at how to generate it, manage it and enjoy a fulfilling relationship with it enabling you to thrive in all aspects of your life, professionally and personally. This day of inspiring workshops will not only fill you with new found confidence, you’ll also have a bankers bonus worth of fun and meet loads of amazing women proving that confidence is no accident. Here’s a run down of our amazing workshop leaders and speakers: Investment banker turned stand-up comedian, Sindhu Vee will focus on how investing in comedy and humour in the workplace is in the best interest of organisations, large and small. Actor, improviser and seasoned Funny Women facilitator Jenny Bolt will lead a session in improvisation to help you in the art of thinking on your feet and applying it to business scenarios. And Funny Women founder Lynne Parker will show you how to throw away the corporate rule book and use humour to negotiate and build professional confidence. Liz Hughes is the founder and managing director of financial services business, ionStar and she will be joined by her friend and business associate, Laura Gill for their workshop focused on how to get the best out of flexible working. For those who are still rocking the corporate life but may feel they are missing out, we have the very inspirational Jo Scott from Lloyd’s of London who will talk about how to manage corporate life without losing your sense of humour. Natasha Steer is a Kent based socially engaged artist and urban innovator. She uses creativity to develop programmes that encourage social action and helps people to think differently about their own projects. Natasha will look at the art of funding and how to find funders, including crowdfunding methods. For those seeking more emotional and spiritual solace we have our resident stand-up vicar, Maggy Whitehouse, who is the author of several books on the subject of money, and, as if that isn’t enough we will top and tail our day with some further inspiration featuring our mystery guest ‘Tracy’ and our headline speaker, Deborah Leary OBE, CEO of Forensic Pathways and chair of our Funny Women Advisory Panel. Deborah is quite simply one of the bravest and most dynamic entrepreneurs we know, an inveterate networker and natural leader who has even performed a bit of stand-up! In all this is an unbeatable and eclectic day of self-discovery.
