Adventure Travel Film Club Presents: #ShackletonNight

Celebrating 100 years since Shackleton's return to civilization

On 20 May 2016, it will be 100 years since Sir Ernest Shackleton and five others made it back to civilization after two years stuck in the Antarctic, an 800-mile open boat journey and having to hike across South Georgia Island. To celebrate, Adventure Travel Film Club are holding a special event in London. They'll be showing the original film made about the expedition: South (1919), followed by a live Q&A with Tim Jarvis, who recreated Shackleton's journey on a replica boat in 2013. Join them for one of the greatest adventure travel stories of all time. Schedule: 6pm: Drinks in the Picturehouse bar 6:30pm: Doors open 6:50pm: Feature film: South (1919) 8:20pm: Short film: about Tim Jarvis "Shackleton Epic" expedition in 2013 8:30pm: Exclusive Q&A with Tim Jarvis 9pm: More drinks in the bar
