An exhibition featuring impressive art, spoken work and live music
This art and photography exhibition is an extension of the Black Power Series by Dazhané Leah, which gained viral attention from the BBC, Teen Vogue, Essence, and Cosmopolitan to name a few. It focuses on embracing a movement centred around the positive appeal of afro hair and black skin by bringing together creatives who contribute to changing the general perception of the afro hair and black skin, often portrayed negatively by mainstream media and society at large.
Taking place on 24 June, the exhibition will showcase some never seen before work of the artists and photographers involved. There will be live performances from musicians EDSUN and Savannah Dumetz as well as spoken word pieces from Nego True and Mina West. An insightful Q&A session will follow the performances. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss with the artists their thoughts and opinions on what inspires their art. And, to top it all off, two-for-one cocktails will be available all evening.
Two-for-one cocktails available all evening.
