After 39 years as a couple, George and Ben celebrate a joyful wedding. The elation is short-lived however; when Ben loses his job as a music teacher, the pair are forced to temporarily separate while they search for a Manhattan apartment to call their own. Alfred Molina and John Lithgow beautifully command the lead roles in Ira Sachs’ tender drama that’s laced with poignant moments and wry observations.
