This time the pop-up journey takes you to East London, in one of The Old Truman Brewery’s best-kept secrets: Juju’s Bar + Stage: a beautiful cavernous warehouse space in the heart of Brick Lane. They’ll set the tone for the evening with world-class entertainment from some of London’s best jazz musicians playing before each film, as well as DJ sets from BPC residents. One of best movies of the '90s, Mo Better Blues stars Denzel Washington and Wesley Snipes as part of a Harlem jazz band battling with personal conflicts in their strive for perfection in love and music. This tight, funny, and suspenseful flick is full of great music and unforgettable characters. It's undoubtedly one of Spike Lee’s best. Join Block Part Cinema before the film for a Mo Better Blues-influenced set by the outstanding Mark Kavuma and Band. As always, get set for more exciting, beanbag bouncing fun. Over 18s only.
