Brodsky/Baryshnikov

The works of the famed Russian poet comes to life at the Apollo Theatre

Brodsky/Baryshnikov is a one-man show based on the poems of Nobel laureate Joseph Brodsky, performed by Mikhail Baryshnikov. Conceived and directed by Alvis Hermanis, noted Latvian director of The New Riga Theatre, Brodsky/Baryshnikov is an emotional journey deep into the poet's visceral and complex compositions. Performed in Russian, Brodsky's mother tongue, Baryshnikov recites a selection of his long-time friend’s poignant and eloquent works. His subtle physicality transports the audience into Hermanis' reverent imagining of Brodsky's interior world. Please note: this performance is in Russian with English subtitles. English translation by Jamey Gambrell. Running time: 1 hour 30 minutes, with no interval. All ticket prices for Brodsky + Baryshnikov include any booking fees. YPlan will not charge you any additional amounts for your tickets. When booking tickets, you can pick your seat from the seatmap once you've selected a date. Please note that RV stands for Restricted View. For your comfort and security, you may be subject to additional checks on your visit to London theatres.
