Real folks don’t buy their meat from the supermarket: they butcher it at home. If you’re a hardcore carnivore, it’s the only way to ensure your beef, lamb and pork are a cut above the rest. Run by Luke, a master butcher with over 20 years experience, this masterclass will furnish you with the tools and the knowledge to become a budding butcher. From breaking down a chicken to trimming a rack of pork, it’s a great way to learn skills that will save you money, reduce waste and take your cooking to the next level. Some of the skills you'll learn: - Knife skills - Break down a whole free range chicken - Bone and roll a loin of lamb - Tie a butcher's knot - French trimming a rack of pork - And more All the meat and equipment will be provided (i.e. aprons, chain mail gloves and knives), and there'll be a short safety talk before you get stuck in.
