Consider yourself a dandy, peacock or dedicated follower of fashion? Head to Bedford Square Gardens on July 14, and get involved in the Chap Olympiad! Returning for its thirteenth year, co-organised by The Chap magazine and Bourne & Hollingsworth, the annual games celebrates all that’s wonderful about style, flamboyancy and sartorial flair – while having a giggle along the way. There’s a full programme of brilliant games (take a look below), as well as some attempts to break some world records – like the most hats worn while riding a bicycle. Exceptionally daft, but exceptionally dapper with it, the Chap Olympiad is unmissable for all you well-dressed types out there. Tickets are just £25 – don’t miss out. WHAT ARE THE GAMES? Tea Pursuit A bit like the cycling game Team Pursuit – except here, contestants cycle around transferring a cup of tea from one rider to the next. The winning team? The one with the most tea in the cup at the end. French Connection Three lumps of French cheese are mounted on poles, and contestants have to use a baguette as a javelin to knock each piece down. Top Trump Toupee Time to practice your aim! Contestants need to knock the US president’s curious hairpiece off a model of his head, using a softball. Umbrella Jousting Contestants mounted on bicycles charge at each other with umbrellas. Their only protection will by bowler hats and briefcases. Riding Crop Rumpus A slightly raunchy game: contestants must kneel on the track while another contestant whips them with a riding crop. Someone in a leather catsuit will be involved. Butler Baitings A squadron of butlers mixing perfect Boodles G&Ts will set up at a cocktail bar. Pairs of tied-up contestants have to make a three-legged dash to the bar – all in the name of a swig -This is valid for a ticket to 'Chap Olympiad' at Bedford Square Gardens. -Event runs from 12pm to 9pm. -You must bring a printed voucher to present upon arrival. -This cannot be cancelled, refunded, exchanged or used in conjunction with any other offer.
