A reckless rich man, played by Rock Hudson, inadvertently widows the local doctor’s wife (Jane Wyman) after a speed boat accident. Trying to right his wrongs, he accidentally blinds her, before giving up his reckless ways to become a surgeon in the hope he might cure her.
