Chinese New Year 2015: Grand Parade

A host of festivities from dawn until dusk

Every year the Chinese population of London paint the city red to welcome the new year according to their calendar. The iconic festivities are testament to the city's diverse and multicultural identity – a melting pot that welcomes anyone that wants to call it home. Join the hordes of people in Central London and be exposed to customs and traditions from the land of the rising sun. As for the actual sheep, we don't really know but hey, this is London so everything is possible. The route starts at Trafalgar Square on the corner with Duncannon Street before moving up Charing Cross Road and along Shaftesbury Avenue. This event is free and entry is on a first come first served basis, so it can't be guaranteed. We need your card details to store the event information in your profile, but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny.
