Walking the fine line between live art and contemporary circus, Jeanne Mordoj is a formidable artist, contortionist and juggler, a mischievous feminist and former bearded lady. The evening features a short informal life drawing performance of La Fresque, where in a dancelike trance Mordoj creates huge, vibrant images that celebrate the female form. Completing the evening is the award-winning and mesmerising La Poème a joyously strange and personal play that celebrates the fertility, fragility and ferocity of the female body and spirit. With Mordoj’s amazing physical presence, perfectly in control of her body, La Poème is truly inspirational, and imbued with joy and humour. This event takes place in the Sackler Space.
