Complete Works: Table Top Shakespeare

Everything but the kitchen sink is used in these utensil retellings of the Bard

Salt and pepper pots play the king and queen. A spoon stands in for a servant and a candle for the Friar. Macbeth becomes a cheese grater, Pericles a light bulb and Hamlet’s now a bottle of ink. Theatre pioneers Forced Entertainment explore the dynamic force of narrative and language in their simple yet distinctive summary of Shakespeare's comedies, tragedies, histories and late work. The cast creates scaled-down worlds that are vivid, accessible and comic – inviting audiences to enjoy one or as many performances as they fancy. As silly as it sounds, this is a great entrance point for Bard beginners, a crash course for kids, or even just a fun refresher for those who are more familiar. Not recommended for under 14s. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted. Each plays runtime: 40-55 minutes.
