Consensual

Original writing and new talent produce a fiery play

As head of year 11, Diane is meant to be implementing the new Healthy Relationships curriculum. But then Freddie arrives. She hasn’t seen him since that night six years earlier when he was fifteen. She thinks he took advantage of her. He thinks she groomed him for months. But neither is sure. The National Youth Theatre presents an explosive and thought-provoking piece of new writing from Evan Placey (Writers' Guild Award-winner), exploring what happens when buried secrets catch up with you. But when it comes to sex and consent, are there really any blurred lines? The Ambassadors Theatre opened in 1913 with a production of Panthea, a play by Monckton Hoffe which ran for only 15 nights. 102 years later the venue has established itself as one of go-to destinations of theatre lovers in the capital. Not suitable for those under 14. Running time: 1 hour 50 minutes including a 20-minute interval. There will be scenes of a sexual nature and language which you may find offensive. All ticket prices for Consensual are inclusive of any booking fees. YPlan will not charge you any additional amounts for your tickets. If booking multiple tickets on the app, please make sure to book from one YPlan account at the same time if you want to be seated together; you will be allocated the best available seats in the selected seating area. Valid ID required for ticket collection. Please note that RV stands for Restricted View. West End theatre tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded (unless of course the performance is cancelled). All listed offers are subject to availability and can be withdrawn at any time.
