Cravings: Can Your Food Control You?

A scientific take on stuffing your mouth

We all love food, one way or another. But what really drives our appetite and preferences? Is it the colour of your spoon, the food your mum ate while pregnant, the trillions of bacteria that dine with you, or the little-known "second brain" in your gut? The Science Museum has once again pulled all the tricks to create an event that combines science (obviously), fun and learning. Expect to take part in a real experiment on flavour perception, touch some 3D-printed mice, sniff a scientific smell kit, and "chew" some "bread" in the interactive displays. Opening hours: - daily: 10am-6pm This event is free and entry is on a first come first served basis, so it can't be guaranteed. We need your card details to store the event information in your profile, but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny.
