The Crystal Palace International Film Festival bring you the best in feature film, shorts, animation and documentary, from a submission pool of filmmakers based all round the world. Founded in 2009, their rich and diverse programme, commitment to global and independent filmmakers and prestigious panel of judges – from award-winning comedian Johnny Vegas to Neville Astley, creator of Peppa Pig – makes the CPIFF a truly exceptional experience and celebration of film. Running order sneak peek: - Junk Girl directed by Mohammad Zare. There once was a girl who was made up of junk. She looked really dirty and she smelled like a skunk. Running time: 17 minutes. - Currency Affairs directed by Zehao Xue. This is a lifelong love story between two pieces of paper currency. They were created side by side from production line with consecutive serial numbers. After an expected separation in the early years and an unexpected reunion they fall in love but what will happen? Running time: 4 minutes. - Girl + Ghost directed by Nik Wansbrough. In a surreal and quiet suburb, a beautiful girl waits for the flirtatious postman to arrive each morning. Little does she know, across the street lives a lonely ghost longing for her from afar. Running time 11 minutes. - Many more films on the night. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Doors open at 7pm and films start at 7.45.
