The Crystal Palace International Film Festival bring you the best in feature film, shorts, animation and documentary, from a submission pool of filmmakers based all round the world. Founded in 2009, their rich and diverse programme, commitment to global and independent filmmakers and prestigious panel of judges – from award-winning comedian Johnny Vegas to Neville Astley, creator of Peppa Pig – makes the CPIFF a truly exceptional experience and celebration of film. On this, the final night and awards ceremony, there'll be a welcome Bloom Gin + Tonic, gourmet canapés served, musical acts and awards presented by Mark Steel. Running order: - The Last Post directed by Adam Preston. A halfwit is invited to speak at the funeral of a girl he only knew through the internet. Running time: 16 minutes. - Not Sophie’s Choice directed by Matt Holt. A husband and wife attempt to break some sad and life-changing news to their ten-year old daughter Sophie. Starring Catherine Tate and Alex Macqueen. Running time: 6 minutes. - 12 Steps directed by Claude Gonzalez. A group of men meet every week to overcome their fears and live out their dreams. Running time: 15 minutes. - Many more on the night. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Doors open at 7pm and films start at 7.45.
