The Crystal Palace International Film Festival bring you the best in feature film, shorts, animation and documentary, from a submission pool of filmmakers based all round the world. Founded in 2009, their rich and diverse programme, commitment to global and independent filmmakers and prestigious panel of judges – from award-winning comedian Johnny Vegas to Neville Astley, creator of Peppa Pig – makes the CPIFF a truly exceptional experience and celebration of film. Running order: -At Home or En Casa directed by Alfonso Nogueroles. Alberto is bored in school so he leafs through a book while eyeing Beatriz. They spend a day alone at Alberto’s magnificent house. Running time: 8 minutes. - Ward of State directed by Sarah-Jane Woulahan. A dance film about a girl who became a ward of the state in Australia in the 1930’s. Running time: 29 minutes. - The Fairytale About Goran or Sagan Om Göran directed by Simon Disman + Robin Risberg Goran lives a pathetic life in a perpetual hamster wheel filled with aridness and meaninglessness. Today won’t be any different. Running time: 8 minutes. - Many more on the night. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Doors open at 7pm and films start at 7.45.
