The Crystal Palace International Film Festival bring you the best in feature film, shorts, animation and documentary, from a submission pool of filmmakers based all round the world. Founded in 2009, their rich and diverse programme, commitment to global and independent filmmakers and prestigious panel of judges – from award-winning comedian Johnny Vegas to Neville Astley, creator of Peppa Pig – makes the CPIFF a truly exceptional experience and celebration of film. Running order: - Black and Blue directed by Ciara Allen. A college-bound girl’s life is altered when her brother is drafted into service during the Vietnam war. Running time: 20 minutes. - Block Attack directed by William Spencer. Mitchell must fix his company’s new video game – Blocks – overnight, in order to save the company from impending doom. Running time: 10 minutes. - Beverley directed by Alexaner Thomas. Beverley struggles to carve out a sense of identity in a confusing, shifting cultural landscape of 1980s Leicester. Running time: 25 minutes. - Many more on the night. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Doors open at 7pm and films start at 7.45.
