Under expert tuition from class leader Dan Whiteson, learn about one of the more famous artistic approaches; cubism. Created by Picasso and Braque in Paris, and later expanded upon by others, including the British Vorticists, you will work to unpick and understand the techniques and approaches through artistic examples and drawing exercises, before having the unique opportunity to create your own figurative, cubist composition, working from a nude life model.
Designed for all abilities, these four-hour long sessions will be a heady mixture of art history, performance, drawing, informal tuition and creative experimentation; all set to an eclectic playlist and framing a delicious one-course lunch and drink from the revered Carousel kitchen. Using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, Carousel head chef Ollie Templeton (ex-Moro) and his right hand men, Matt Voisy (ex St John Bread & Wine) and Tom Ryalls (ex-Moro), will be rustling up fresh, sophisticated food, bursting with big flavours to ensure you are in peak condition to get creative.
