Darkness And Light: 350 Years Of Organ Music

Stirring classical music paired with beautiful video art

Sound and vision collide tonight, when organ works mix with a world created by artist Lynette Wallworth. Suspended screens will circle the Royal Festival Hall organ, creating an eerie and interactive setting. The music wanders from baroque Bach to Toshio Hosokawa’s sound pictures – all beautifully performed by virtuoso Bernard Foccroulle. Programme highlights: - JS Bach: Chorale-prelude, BWV 721 - Sofia Gubaidulina: Light And Darkness - Jehan Alain: Fantaisie No 1 - Toshio Hosokawa: Cloudscape Seating allocated on arrival.
