Drag supergroup Denim were established by lead performer Glamrou (Amrou Al-Kadhi) at Cambridge University in 2010. Denim was the university’s first and only professional drag troupe, watched and celebrated by thousands of students over the years. Since then, the Denim girl band and their unique take on drag have been watched and appreciated by thousands, touring across the UK. They have performed with Florence & The Machine live onstage at Glastonbury. Between them, the Denim Queens – Glamrou La Denim, Aphrodite Greene, Crystal Vaginova, Electra Cute & Shirley De Naughty - have survived it all. Divorces, The Titanic, Space Travel, The Bolshevik Revolution – the list is quite literally infinite. But what keeps them together is the strongest of friendships that never diminishes.
