Lee "Scratch" Perry is not only the godfather of both reggae and dub, but he is also one of the most entertaining and intriguing figures in all of music. Vision Of Paradise is the culmination of German filmmaker Volker Schaner’s 15-year journey to the heart of Perry's universe, following him from Jamaica (where he worked with Bob Marley and many others) to Ethiopia, Germany, Switzerland and London. As much dream sequence as narrative journey, the film co-mixes live action with Yellow Submarine-meets-Ethiopian Orthodox style animation in a way that is just as poetic, playful and visually stunning as the man himself. This world premiere screening will be followed by a special Q&A with Lee "Scratch" Perry, a chance to meet one of music's last living legends. Over 15s only.
