Elgar's Enigma Variations

The Philharmonia Orchestra performs Elgar's much-loved Enigma Variations

A majestic series of character portraits, Elgar's Enigma Variations pay heartfelt and humorous tribute to his wife, his many musical friends (and their pets) as well as his close friend and publisher, August Jaeger, the "mighty hunter" of the celebrated Nimrod variation. Yuri Temirkanov conducts this alongside Beethoven's Coriolan Overture. In-between, pianist Nikolai Lugansky performs Beethoven's emotional First Piano Concerto. This is set to be a night filled with beautiful music. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Minimum age: 7 years. Tickets booked within the same transaction will be sat together. Tickets are allocated by the Philharmonia Orchestra. It is not possible to select your own seat.
