Working together since 1995, the artist duo Elmgreen and Dragset create enchanting spatial scenarios that target various social and sexual politics. Their newest exhibition, ‘This Is How We Bite Our Tongue’ features an extraordinary new large-scale installation at the Whitechapel Gallery - the ground-floor space has been transformed into a vast, eerily abandoned public swimming pool. Exploring themes of gentrification, masculinity and capitalism, the show unveils the many power structures that surround us everyday.
