Join the guys at Strongroom for a festive natural soap making workshop ~ the old school way.
As seen at Glastonbury festival, this workshop will teach you how to make real soap from scratch, from basic ingredients (not an instant ‘melt & pour’ soap base) and essential oils.
Using a recycled juice carton as the mould and ‘carry home’ pack (the soap takes 24 hours to solidify), this workshop is all about making something real and eco friendly - no toxic chemicals or pollutants here.
These classes are about the soap-making method and so don’t include decorating with flower petals or using fancy moulds - you'll be given a choice of essential oils to scent your soap and can colour it if you choose. You'll come away with a finished soap block weighing about 500g, which will make 4 decent sized bars - perfect for Christmas Presents!. A full set of notes are supplied that will enable more soap-making at home and provide ‘after care’ instructions.
Tickets are just £25 which includes all equipment and you'll leave with 500g of soap - which makes 4 good sized bars.
Children are permitted as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Safety equipment must be worn throughout.
