There’s still plenty of value to be found in Soho if you know where to look. Tucked away on Dean Street, Pierre Victoire has been serving comforting French favourites for decades, drawing loyal regulars with its old-school bistro charm and generous portions.
With this offer, you can choose either two courses and a glass of Prosecco for £19.95 or push the boat out with three courses and a glass of Prosecco for £24.95. Start with French onion soup crowned with gruyère croutons, salmon tartare with dill crème fraîche, or escargots swimming in garlic and parsley butter. Mains range from chicken à la crème and slow-braised ox cheek with orzo and pecorino to pan-roasted hake with chorizo ratatouille and confit duck with mashed potato and red wine jus. If you opt for three courses, finish with raspberry crème brûlée, classic banoffee pie, apple tarte tatin or an individual amaretto tiramisu.
For an affordable French meal in the middle of Soho, this is about as good as it gets.
